Has CPower been acquired?

Yes. We’re excited that CPower has been acquired by NRG. With the acquisition of CPower, NRG is now a leading provider in the DR space and is ready to unlock tomorrow’s reliability and customer value as U.S. AI demand accelerates.

The Company plays a meaningful role in dependable and competitive energy markets and the innovative NRG team is creating the flexible and affordable solutions that households and large businesses need today and in the future.


Will your team or my points of contact change?

No. The same contacts you work with today remain at CPower and you will continue to rely on your existing Account Team.


What does this mean for your demand response programs?

You can expect business as usual at CPower, with no changes to existing programs or our operations. There are also no changes to CPower’s Dispatch, and you will be notified of tests and events via your usual Dispatch protocols.


Will enrollment, contact terms or settlements change?

No. Enrollment requirements, contracts and settlement terms remain unchanged. There will be no changes to CPower customer payments, which will continue in the same manner and cadence as they have been per a customer’s existing contract.


Will broker relationships or payment processes with CPower be impacted in any way?

There will be no changes to how our broker partners work with their CPower demand response clients, or how they get paid, which will continue to be through CPower.

Brokers that work with CPower will continue to be paid in the manner and from the entity/system they are currently paid, with no changes for the foreseeable future.
