State of Massachusetts Demand Response Resources
Helping Massachusetts Government Organizations Save Money and Earn Revenue Through Demand-Side Energy Management Programs
Demand response (DR) programs in Massachusetts can help government entities save and earn their way to achieving sustainability goals by paying them to temporarily reduce electricity consumption when the electrical grid is stressed from too much demand. They can further realize cost savings from not using electricity when it’s most expensive—and reduce rising monthly capacity charges as well.
CPower Energy Management is the official designated DR services provider for the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM). DCAMM chose CPower to be its sole DR provider in 2009. Since then, CPower and DCAMM have generated more than $8 million in financial incentives from DR participation for state entities with all types of facilities.
